Argentine Folkloric Dance

 
     
 

It was well known in the nineteenth century. It was known in the prov. Catamarca, Santiago
del Estero and Tucumán.
In 1862 it was saw to dance in the "pvcia.de Córdoba" and in 1870 is contained in the
Campaign "Buenos Aires". Ventura R. Lynch

 

CLASSIFICATION

Each dancer on its own and separatly.

POSITION

Dancers facing at both extremes of the diagonal of the imaginary dancing square.

ELEMENTS

Basic step (starts with the left foot). Arms and hands position to fly handkerchief and make
castanets.
